The 2017 Interconnections Conference will bring together researchers, decision-makers, and practitioners – making for a much needed transdisciplinary environment. The conference also strives for a greater voice from developing countries, bringing together transdisciplinary communities from developing and developed countries. Held simultaneously with the Bonn Climate Conference (8-18 May) the conference will link its knowledge space with the international decision-making space.
Compared to most academic conferences, the substantial focus of the Interconnections Conference is relatively narrow, focussing on a specific theme at the intersection between sustainable development and climate change governance, transnational action, and impact in and of developing countries. Interactions between participants is stimulated through a break-out sessions, and the limited size of the conference (+- 120 participants) encourages active participation and dialogue.
